Pictures from when I first got the truck - I gave $2,200 for it in essentially the same shape it's in currently (actually, it was in worse shape, I did quite a bit of work on it fixing little things - and the overheating thing has got a little worse, but it had apparently done it to the previous owner too, as it had a new water pump in it when I got it). For $2,200, it was (and still is) the cheapest LWB Samurai I'd ever seen in BuySell or AutoTrader.

Anyway, the truck has lots to recommend it - the comfy Toyota seats, the H4 headlights ($140!), new brakes and rotors, a set of wrap-around bush bars I never got around to mounting, a top in decent shape (those tops alone sell used for $500-$800), and there really is very little rust for the age and make and model. Anyway, that said, I'll try to show you the worst of the truck so you know what you're getting into.

From when I brought it home in 2003.

A pic from this summer with the top off - only one I could find.

  • Just a little surface rust here. (the holes aren't from rust, they're where the diamond plate used to be mounted - it was gone before I got the truck)

Anyway, if I haven't scared you off by now, then you know what you're getting into.
